Jail Comment

Jail staff can use this screen at any time to post comments to the CLIF form that can then be viewed by agency staff.  Agency staff will come to this screen to view comments entered by jail staff.  If there were no entries by jail staff, then the word “NONE” appears.  If jail staff made entries, then a box is displayed containing the text.  This is the only screen where jail staff can enter data on the Data Link database. 

Type as much information in the box and click "Save comment" button.

Examples of the types of information typically entered here are:

• Charge

• Bond amount

• Court date

• Judge name

• Whether confined in a “general” or “psychiatric” area of the jail

• Services provided

• Medications

• Requests received from clients for services

• Jail staff plans for future services

• Name of community agency serving client

• Date discharged from jail

• Jail staff communications with client, after discharge

• Jail staff communications with community agency, after client discharge
